Relinking Social Handles

Our platform has identified a user experience (UX) issue related to the relinking process for social media handles; this is not to be confused with a software bug. When a Facebook or Instagram handle reaches its expiration, users are presented with two primary courses of action:

Option one involves deleting the expired handle and initiating a fresh relink. This method is straightforward, quick, and effective.

Alternatively, users may opt to click the "relink" prompt when notified of an expired handle token. In this scenario, the UX will display "expired" next to the handle, as opposed to the active status indicated by a green tick.

Following the relinking process via Facebook, users will encounter a screen displaying two toggles in the 'on' position by default. To complete the relinking, users must turn both toggles off, effectively unlinking, and then reactivate them, re-establishing the link. Once the toggles are set to 'on' again, the UX status will update to "Active," signaling the completion of the process.
