Third Party Cookies Deprecation

Amazon Connect uses third-party cookies (3PCs) for user authentication. This means that 3PCs are necessary to use Amazon Connect and its features, as well as Engage.

Google Chrome will be phasing out support for 3PCs in 2024. As a result, Amazon Connect has implemented a change to ensure that 3PCs continue to work effectively within Google Chrome.

We have applied these changes to Engage, ensuring that your users will continue to be able to access Engage.

3PCs will be gradually deprecated for Google Chrome users throughout the first half of 2024. For more information, including the timeline, click here

Once 3PC is deprecated for a user, when they log into Engage for the first time post deprecation, they will be prompted to allow access to cookies within their browser. This is necessary to use Engage and Amazon Connect and can be done as per the below:

   1. Click the Grant access button

   2. Click the Allow button
